Clever Use of RFID

This is a great use for RFID tags. Siemens and other companies are starting to embed RFID chips in surgical sponges. Hospitals maintain special RFID readers in operating rooms, which they use to WAND the patients before being rolled out (to make sure no sponges are left inside).
