Knowledge can be broken into three broad categories, methinks: Things you know Things you know that you don’t know Things you don’t know that you don’t know You could, of course, refine this further by adding a category like “Things you know but really don’t need to know”. My knowledge of 1980′s pop culture fits [...]

Former columnist, current author and blogger, and always funny Dave Barry just queued up his annual look back at the just completed year. I’m just starting to read through it. You should to.

I’m looking for an online or (preferably) downloadable harmony of the gospels, in which the text of the four gospel books is arranged topically so you can easily compare what is written about a topic in each of the four gospels without flipping between chapters. Typically, the book is displayed in four columns, one for [...]

I stumbled across a site that releases an annual CD of orchestral Christmas music for free download. The music is created by musicians who met online at the site and used software libraries from the site to digitally represent real instruments for computer music composition. The music is all created on the desktop. The site [...]

Submarine blogger Ultraquiet No More quoted several Thomas Jefferson quotes (quoted quotes???) from a Right Mind article that seem rather prescient in today’s climate. Here are a few of the more relevant ones. The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who [...]

My recovery from a blood clot in my leg goes, I think, well. I’m taking a self-injection of Lovenox twice a day while the Coumadin levels build up to therapeutic levels through the once-a-day pills. I have a couple of add-ons for Firefox that were incompatible with newer versions of the browser. When Firefox updates and that happens, the add-on goes inactive, but I’ve not been able to delete them. Firefox Facts has an article that explains several ways to remove troublesome add-ons that looks like it might be of [...]

I’m being discharged from the hospital today with two prescriptions and direction to increase my amount of physical activity. The doctor said there is no telling how long the pain in my leg will last. It should go away as my body absorbs the blood clot in my legs. I’m hoping that doesn’t take too [...]

I’m in the hospital. I’d been having leg pain and was diagnosed with blood clots in one leg and in my lungs. I went to the doctor yesterday. He did some tests, sent me to the hospital for a few more, and had me admitted after the results came back. I’m on Heparin to thin [...]

A few supporters are matching contributions to Answers in Genesis between now and Christmas Day, up to $100,000. I’ve supported AiG in the past and plan to do so again this year. I’ll just do so a bit earlier to get the matching gift. If you’ve considered supporting that ministry, now would be a very [...]
