I clicked through to a Technorati search for this weblog today and discovered that I had been tagged by Randy McRoberts, he of The Upward Way Press fame, to tell you eight things you probably don’t know about me.  That’s what I get for leaving a comment there! 

1. While I’ve enjoyed reading the reviews of the Apple iPhone, I am perfectly happy with our pay-as-you-go cell phone plan which costs us $30 every three months.

2. In what should seem obvious after reading number 1, I’m somewhat on the cheap side.

3. Broadband Internet access isn’t one of them.  I like my high-speed Internet.

4. My wife and I have been married for twenty-one years.  (Sorry Randy, I stole borrowed that one from you.)

5. I enjoy watching Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel.  I can’t really explain why, either.

6. My favorite story in the Bible is that of Joseph, in the latter chapters of Genesis.  There is a lot that I can learn from his character, in how he never questioned nor wavered in his faith and how he always gave his all, regardless of his circumstances.

7. We own two minivans.  The 1993 Ford Escort station wagon I drove for thirteen years was on its last legs in 2006.  We decided that the new vehicle we bought ought to be the primary vehicle for the family, and minivans work very well for us.  So we kept the other one we had (a 1998 model) and I drive it.

8. On my birthday last month, I “celebrated” by having the oil changed in not one, but both of our minivans!  Gimmee a break!  They were due!
