Deeper Devotion Student Ministries

Glenn Ansley, the director of a web site called Deeper Devotions, sent me an email introducing his site tonight.  He's got a very interesting site.  Here's part of their about statement.

Deeper Devotion Student Ministries was started on September 1, 2002 with the purpose of encouraging students to know God more intimately. We believe that Deeper Devotion belongs to the Lord and are honored that He would entrust this ministry to us. Our desire is that the Lord would use this ministry to develop a deeper relationship with his children, specifically youth and young adults. Currently we are dedicated to developing meaningful daily devotions and an atmosphere that would encourage prayer and supplication among God's children.

Their site has one of the best statements of faith that I've ever seen.  Here's just a sample.

The Scriptures
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.

God
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Deeper Devotions provides what is essentially weblog space to student members in their journals section.  There are currently twenty authors, some of whom have written a single article and others who have written many.

The site also provides a message board forum for discussion among members.  You can read the message boards without creating an account, but I believe you need to sign in to post.

I've not finished exploring the site yet, but my brief look through it leads me to believe it is spot-on in its mission of helping people find and grow in their relationship with God.  I”m adding a link on the left to the site.
